David Harrison Scotch Beef Ltd Butchers is situated in Westcliff a mile east of Southend High Street and 1½ miles south east of Leigh-on-sea.

David is a second generation master butcher who has over 40 years experience in this skilled trade, from first working with his Father, to opening his own shop in Leigh-on-Sea prior to settling into the Westcliff shop in 1979.
When you enter the shop, you will be taken aback by the variety of meat and produce available – this is no ordinary butchers shop. As well as all cuts of fine meats, poultry, game, wonderful bacon and award winning home-made sausages, you will be presented with a choice of superb British and European cheeses, from an organic Cornish Brie to a Corsican sheep’s milk Feta, or a cheese board made up of a selection of the best. You can also select from a tempting array of cooked or cured meats and sausages, marinated olives and just about everything you could want or need to accompany your meat or cheese, from chutneys, relishes & pickles to stuffing mixes, gravy and gourmet sauces.
David may be from the traditional and much admired ‘old school’ of butchers although this has not stopped him from embracing modern concepts and technology. After a valued and regular customer moved away from the area, she asked that David send meat to her via courier, as she could not find a good butcher in her new local area. This then prompted David to set up an online store, allowing customers to purchase quality assured meat directly. Not only has this proved a success for those living outside of the area, it has provided a quick and simple means of shopping for those that live locally although do not have the time to visit the shop.
