The Roslin Beach Hotel is situated on the seafront in Thorpe Bay, just over a mile from the main Town Centre of Southend. The hotel is ideally situated with magnificent views over the estuary.

As well as having 48 stylish and comfortable rooms, the Roslin has a superb restaurant, conservatory and terrace, which are open for dining to both residents and non-residents. I must say that this is one of my favourite places to dine, especially in the summer; superb food, good service and magnificent views.

The conservatory dining area and Tides Restaurant have a relaxed yet buzzing atmosphere with light sophisticatedly stylish décor and contemporary artwork. Breakfast, Lunch, High Tea and Dinner are available; all expertly prepared in house using fresh seasonal produce, sourced as locally as possible.

For al fresco dining the large and spacious decked terrace is a wonderful setting in which to sit back, relax, and savour a delicious lunch or dinner with a glass of chilled wine or champagne. The views are spectacular.

The food available is a straight-forward no nonsense blend of classic meat dishes, pasta dishes and fresh fish selections. The menu changes seasonally and daily specials are also available. If you prefer a lighter option, you can select from the range of fresh sandwiches, ciabattas, bagels or a filled jacket potatoes.

The Roslin Beach Hotel is an ideal venue for functions and parties, with a good sized car park, 48 rooms, and the large Tides Restaurant which can comfortably seat up to 50 people and has its own private bar. Selected buffets, champagne and canapés or a full dining experience can be arranged for corporate events, wedding receptions, private functions and parties.

Where ever you choose to dine at the Roslin, whether it is in the light and stylish conservatory, the sophisticated Tides Restaurant, or the open and spacious terrace, you are assured of a beautiful view over the estuary, as well as excellent food. It is advisable to book ahead.

Had a very good lunch at the Roslin, sitting on their lovely terrace overlooking the sea. The menu was simple and the food very good and not messed around with too much. Good service and a delightful setting.
